I was driving along and watching the bison travel with the autos at the Elk & Bison Prairie and I looked over to my right, and there were the elk! They were lying down on a hill as the bison made their way along the roadway.
I made a circle of the prairie and came back the the elk had moved into a pasture on the other side of the road from where they had been lying down just a few minutes earlier.
They are very cool to watch and photograph.
