Art is life

Art is life in Land Between the Lakes

Art if life! Life is art. That is my philosophy. Nature is art. Nature nurtures us all of our lives. The natural world is all around us and yet we ignore many aspect of our natural order. What does nature have to do with art? Nature is life. Life is art. Art is life. Nature is art. Without the natural world we would not be alive to appreciate art or to create art. Art is life in Land Between the Lakes.

Leaves and light play upon one another. With the leaves, you can better see the light. The light is a product of the sun shining into the trees. The leaves allow us to see the different shades of light. This can be viewed scientifically, metaphorically, pedantically, mysteriously or artistically. The point of view can be all of these, or partial combinations. More can be gleaned from viewing leaves in a tree. What work of art is so three-dimensional and ever changing?

If you get into the mindset that art is all around us, you can decrease and greatly reduce the amount of depression and anxiety you have. Look up into a nearby tree. Look at the shadings. See how the sun shines through the green tree leaves. See how the shadows fall on some leaves and make them translucent green while others are dark and in the shadows.

Seeing art all around you will help you appreciate the beauty of nature. And perhaps you will view nature as art. Art gives meaning and depth and beauty to life.

What does that better than nature?

Land Between the Lakes and the LBL area is filled with natural beauty. We live and love in a natural world of art.

Go outside and enjoy the art of nature. Nature is life. When you experience nature as art, you are an artist!
