When was the last time you looked for a woodpecker behind a fence post? Never? Well, this is a grand old hobby from the old days that has lost its charm in recent years, but one I would like to see come back. Woodpeckers are often hiding behind fence posts in the LBLUS.com area and if you look closely, sometimes you will see them sticking parts of their head and/or beaks up over the fence post in order to give you a quick peek or photo opportunity, as we have here. Go out tomorrow or sometimes soon and look behind a fence post and see if you see a woodpecker. You have to be quick! If you move to one side of the fence post the woodpecker is pretty good about moving quickly to the other side. What do you think?
