Posting of Colors opened Korean War Traveling Monument visit

Memorial Day is always special in LBL.

Those who made the ultimate sacrifice are honored in all LBL area communities each Memorial Day. LBL visitors and residents were honored in 2021 to have a visit from the popular life-sized Korean War traveling Monument.

Opening Ceremonies preceded the life-sized Korean War Traveling Monument display in Dover, Tennessee at the Stewart County Visitors Center on Donelson Parkway in 2021.

The Life-sized replica of the Korean War Monument in Washington D.C. was on full display and free to the public on the grounds of the Stewart County Visitors Center through June 1, 2021.

An “Opening Ceremony” for the arrival of the monument was and the observance was to honor our Soldiers of our “Forgotten War” and to continue commemoration of Stewart County’s Memorial Day Weekend observance. Posting Colors during the ceremony was the American Legion Post 72 Honor Guard with patriotic entertainment the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Fort Campbell, Ky., Woodwind Ensemble Band. —
