I was a little big surprised to see some actual black, blackberries so early in the season. These are West Tennessee blackberries, so the season may be different there. I really do not know much about blackberries other than if you are not careful picking them you can get into a bunch of chiggers and there is nothing much at all that is any more itchy and aggravating. I had on a zoom lens, so I didn’t get that close to this little West Tennessee patch. And this photo was taken this afternoon, June 20, 2021 .. the longest day of the year …..
