I only got one shot of the little turkey chicks as they scooted out of the high brush and weeds to join their parents for a quick scamper across the clearing and back into the brush and woods. The two adults were visible, but the chicks were nowhere to be seen and when the little ones did come out, they were only visible for a moment and then they were gone! Quick as that! I got a few shots of the adults, but only one shot with the chicks and the chick shot had only one adult in it. These are crafty birds. Are small turkeys called ‘chicks?’ I do not know for sure, but that is what I am calling them. What do you call a baby turkey or turkeys?
