This is the crow who started out with the partial cornbread muffin. These birds, and all birds I have seen, go after these muffins. So if you are trying to catch a crow for some reason, this is the bait, or one of them. Another crow flew up and was begging for a bite, but one was not offered. Madness ensued (or at least a lot of flapping and cawing.)
If you look at this photo in another way or two, the bird almost looks like a giant. I think the effect is coming from the bird being on the ridgetop of the house.
For some reason I have seen several birds through the years in my neighborhood of birds fighting over cornbread muffins. I wonder if someone is feeding them? What do you think?
