If you want to buy the very nice commercial lot located next door to the Dover, TN City Hall, go to the information this sign has on it and bid if you’d like and have the cash. I don’t think they’ll be taking credit.
In other Dover news …….
The city’s engineer says he has not yet received a report from the structural engineer that is inspecting for possible issues with the foundation, etc., at Dover’s City Hall. The city engineer said he would be checking on the status of that report this week. Some Dover City officials have said they do not believe the issues with the Dover City Hall are that significant. Others say walls are cracking, windows and doors will not open and shut properly and the building seems to be moving away from the foundation.
So, the Dover City Hall has yet to get its diagnosis from the engineers and Dover is selling a lot that it may one day need to buy back in order to build a new city hall…. that might not be immediately; but I am thinking that is a very distinct possibility. — This news/opinion story will update as soon as information is made available.
Can we use that spot next to City Hall to bring in Sweet Jordans mobile truck? That’s a great little spot for promoting anything! People will love it! Ask your business owners on the Board of Alderman if they’ll support that. We’ll see where their priorities are, their families’ livelihood or the citizens of Dover?
That sounds like a great idea! Ask Mayor Fitzhugh and the Board! — Here is their contact information ..https://www.dovertn.com/
