I was headed to Cross Creeks National Wildlife Refuge and I saw this hawk on a wire at the intersection of the VFW Road and Highway 49 in Stewart County, Tenn., and I was able to get a couple of quick shots before he (or she) took flight. The best of my shots was this one, I think, of the hawk and it ‘took off’ from the wire when it saw me shooting … (with my camera, of course.) …What a great hunter we have among us. Hawks are great.
