LBL – Looking very much forward to seeing the new inn/restaurant and all of the upgrades coming to the roads, parking lots, picnic areas, swimming areas, marina, cabins, golf course (I do not golf, but I may take it up. I think my putter still works!) — and the swimming pool (I forgot, they are not going to upgrade and/or reopen the pool.) —– Anyone want to wager on how long it will take them to launch the privatization efforts again? (I say it will happen in less than 18 months from the grand opening of the new inn.)

‘Not seeing it’ ~ New Paris Landing State Park Inn construction site — photo taken Sunday afternoon, May 10, 2020 —Several weeks ago I posted a photo of the sign in front of Paris Landing touting that the new inn will open in the spring of 2021 and I was skeptical of that claim. I had others chime in and say construction is well underway and the project is very much on schedule and on or under budget. (And some of those who were vehemently in favor of the demolition again shouted me down as a person who doesn’t see the big picture of the future. ) Perhaps there is a lot of work going on. I do not know much or anything really about inn construction, so I guess there is a lot of underground work that has to be done before anything starts popping out of the ground. I had asked lawmakers for updates on the project several months ago. Still waiting for an update from them. It will be great to tour the new facility this time. next year.
