LBL Stonehenge discovered @ Boswell Landing

LBL Stonehenge? That’s what I call it. I was at Boswell Landing looking over the LBL campsite areas and I saw this remarkable stack of stones out in the water. I returned to Boswell several weeks later and the stack of stones was still there, undisturbed by the rising water. I went out to look at it and saw that nothing was holding this assemblage of stones together.

I have seen some strange and remarkable things in Land Between the Lakes. In my time I have spent a lot of hours walking and exploring the Tennessee portion of Land Between the Lakes in historic Stewart County.

I wonder if this was just a random stack of rocks some child or children placed on the rocks in the low tide water or does it have more significance that that.

We humans have spent a great deal of time stacking rocks and then having people find them and wonder what they are. I have puzzled over exactly what is Stonehenge in England. (See links below.)

Just what is the LBL Stonehenge? I do not know, but I am going to go back down to Boswell Landing in the southern portion of Land Between the Lakes very soon and see if the LBL Stonehenge is still standing.
