An explosion of LBL fun erupted behind the Stewart County, Tennessee Courthouse. The LBL Fun erupted with the official ribbon cutting celebrating the second year the Farmers Market has been located in the parking lot behind the Stewart County Courthouse.
There was an explosion of applause and shouts as the confetti cannon blasted off its ribbon load into the throng of Farmers Market attendees today.
“It’s hot, but very fun!” exclaimed one you visitor.
“It will be more fun when it rains!” remarked another.
Vendors from all over the Land Between the Lakes region braved the extreme heat to market their wares. Vendors booths included LBL area art and crafts, fresh vegetables, farm fresh eggs, goat’s milk cheese, homemade butter, refreshments of all kinds and LBL area gifts and souvenirs.
The ribbon cutting was attended by some of the area vendors and sponsored by the Stewart County, Tennessee Chamber of Commerce.
When looking for LBL fun and refreshments, visit some of the towns outside of Land Between the Lakes proper, like Dover, Tennessee. Historic Dover boasts all kinds of attractions and businesses.
The Farmers Market will be set up in the parking lot behind the Stewart County Courthouse located in downtown Dover, Tennessee throughout the rest of the summer.

If you decide to visit the Highway 79 Farmers Market make sure to dress for the weather. The weather for the ribbon cutting was very hot and the whole summer is looking like a hot and dry one throughout.
Stewart County, Tennessee is home of the southern portion of the United States Government’s Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area. About one third of LBL is located in Tennessee and all of that is in Stewart County. About two thirds of LBL is located in Kentucky.
