Memorial Day kicks off summer in LBL and the Land Between the Lakes area.
Historic Dover, TN and Stewart County, Tennessee are ready for a much-anticipated Memorial Day Celebration. The Land Between the Lakes area has a history of paying homage to those brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice defending and protecting the freedoms we enjoy.
This year and last, Boy Scout Troop 501 members once again placed American Flags around town and city officials held an Eagle Fest Celebration to get citizens not only ready for summer, but also for the solemn observance in accordance with Memorial Day. In 2021, officials brought in and hosted the “Traveling Korean War Monument” which was on display on the grounds of the Stewart County Visitors Center. It was free and open to the public.
