This image gives us a bit of an idea of what it must have been like in the ‘hey-day of Dover’s river days, when Dover, Tennessee was one of the popular stops on the Cumberland River. Dover was a bustling little river town that is as historic as it is richly beautiful. On this Saturday, ‘The American Duchess’ boutique riverboat was at the Dover Landing as a scheduled stop, complete with three full sized tour buses. The Dover Landing in recent decades has been a regular stop for riverboats, including ‘The Delta Queen.’
