The Shoe Tree still stands at Murray State University, Murray, Ky. The tree got its start as a shoe tree, and as a feature on the quadrangle part of campus, when I was an undergraduate way back in the day.
Through the years I stop by to check on the tree and while it is still there in the middle of campus serving to store the spare shoes of students, I am not certain the old MSU Shoe Tree is still alive. I don’t think it is.
While walking between classes and buildings during my time at Murray State, it was always a welcome sight to view the MSU Shoe Tree.
Anyone here ever seen the MSU Shoe Tree?
