Here is an update to this story:
I have been told through official channels the maximum capacity if 275 and that 200 chairs were placed out, so the capacity is below the maximum. Good. Thanks for the information. When iit comes to public facilities and public safety, I am somewhat conservative and like to err on the side of caution. Looks like a lively, well-attended event.
What is the maximum capacity of the Stewart County Visitors Center? Does anyone know?
How many people — including children — are in there now?
Just a question: Does anyone know what the total allowed capacity of the Stewart County Visitors Center is? … I don’t, but I am asking for a friend. I had a good friend ask me that question– just now — and I told them I do not know. I know I have been in the Stewart County Visitors Center before with about 50 or so people and I did notice the floors shaking. I do not know if that is normal or what. Perhaps the floors are supposed to shake. I am not much on that architectural and structural stuff. I was over at the Stewart County Visitors Center briefly today for the big weapons auction. It was a packed house and I am looking forward to finding out what the total capacity is supposed to be and how many folks are inside now. I am just wondering because I did see quite a few young people there this morning and , while most everyone is an adult and can make their own determinations — I do have some concerns for the young folks. Anyway .. I am certain that those in charge of public safety are keeping a close eye to make sure maximum capacity is not exceeded during this special auction event going on at the Stewart County Visitors Center. — Looks like lots of fine weapons up for sale and lots of bidders on hand.
As far as I am concerned I hope folks enjoy the event. I was there earlier and I did not even think of the maximum capacity in that building until I told a friend about all of the bidders there today and they said they had been in the visitors center too and had noticed the floors shaking and my friend asked me “What the maximum capacity is?” .. and I have to confess — I do not know..
