The evasive osprey! I have tried to shoot this bird (or one like it) on several occasions as I drive west and east on U.S. 79 at the Paris Landing area. During this shot I think the bird was more concerned with watching for a fish in Kentucky Lake (Tennessee River) that he (or she) was in looking at me. The bird did fly away, momentarily, and land on the next pole away from me, but I had already snapped this shot and a couple of others. Also, I am fairly sure this is an osprey; but if I am wrong, please let me know. Sometimes I do not really know my birds. I do think this one is especially beautiful and magestic!
