Alembics of LBL

Here are memory photos from a decade or more back in the LBL area of the Alembics of Land Between the Lakes. All I can say about the iconic Alembic guitars and basses is that you just need to Google them and see what folks have to say about the sound and quality of these world class basses and guitars. The sound is like nothing you have ever heard and the workmanship is second to none. These were the very first active electronic basses and guitars. They were made famous initially by The Grateful Dead and the Wall of Sound from Alembic during the early days of the 1970s. Below you see a photo of Jerry Garcia playing his Further Alembic Guitar in front of the Alembic Wall of Sound.. You also see a photo of me in the 1970s playing my Gibson Grabber.
