‘L&N Railroad bridge to nowhere’ ~ Danville, Tennessee – Houston County ~ Land Between the Lakes area

I am sure there are all kinds of wild stories from decades back that feature the old railroad bridge at Danville, Tennessee. Danville is an enigma. It was an important stop on the L&N Railroad Line. Under the water near this bridge and the old Danville Grain Elevator was the once bustling river town of Danville. It was a full-fledged river town and wages were high and prosperity was plentiful. Among the business owners were “Outlaw,” “Gamble,” and “Steele.”
